مقتل 3 أشخاص دهسا وسط ملبورن في أستراليا

موقع كل العرب انفو :لقي 3 أشخاص على الأقل مصرعهم وأصيب 20 آخرون بعدما صدمت سيارة عددا من المشاة الجمعة 20 يناير/كانون الثاني وسط مدينة ملبورن ثاني أكبر مدن أستراليا.

ونقلت وسائل الإعلام أن الشرطة تمكنت من اعتقال السائق، وتشير التحقيقات الأولية للشرطة إلى أن السائق  تعمد دهس المشاة.وبث التلفزيون المحلي تسجيلا مصورا من الجو لأفراد مسلحين من الشرطة عند تقاطع بوسط المدينة وكذلك لعدد من مركبات الشرطة تغلق طرقا ولقطات لخدمات إسعاف، كما أظهر التسجيل أن السيارة كانت تتحرك بطريقة غير طبيعية قبل الحادث الذي وقع خلال فترة الغداء المزدحمة بالمدينة.

وأغلقت الشرطة مداخل المدينة وأوقفت خدمات النقل بعد الحادث الذي وقع في قلب منطقة بورك ستريت التجارية.

وصرح مسؤول في الشرطة الأسترالية أن حادث الدهس متعمد لكنه غير مرتبط بالإرهاب، منوها بأن الحادث مرتبط بحادث جنائي سبقه جرى فيه استخدام السلاح الأبيض، ولا خطر لاحقا على الأمن في المدينة.

كما نشرت الشرطة بيانا على حسابها الرسمي في تويتر جاء فيه “لا يزال العمل جاريا لمعرفة ملابسات الحادث على وجه الدقة”.

كما أفاد شهود عيان لوسائل الإعلام المحلية بأن السيارة كانت مسرعة بشكل جنوني دون أن يحاول السائق إيقافها في إشارة منهم إلى أنه تعمد دهس المارة، كما ذكر بعض الشهود بسماعهم أصوات إطلاق نار. 

وأشاروا إلى أنه في ملبورن تجري حاليا منافسات بطولة أستراليا المفتوحة للتنس أولى البطولات الأربع الكبرى الدولية للتنس “غراند سلام”  إذ قصد العديد من السياح وعشاق التنس هذه المدينة لحضور المباريات التي تستمر فعاليتها عدة أيام، إلا أن الشرطة قالت إن الحادث لم يؤثر على مجريات البطولة وإن المنافسات ستجري في موعدها دون أي إرجاء أو تأجيل.
